dotSource is the first certified commercetools partner in the world

Six employees from the Jena-based digital agency, dotSource, successfully completed the process of becoming a »commercetools Certified Solution Developer«. This makes dotSource GmbH the first certified service provider to support companies with the implementation of the cloud-based e-commerce software. The API-First approach and micro-service architecture make commercetools an attractive solution in fast-moving online retail.

Constant technical developments and ever-changing customer demands require fast response times and maximum flexibility from brands, retailers, and manufacturers. An API-first approach and advanced microservice architecture in the cloud make it easy for companies to respond quickly to new trends in online commerce. These are the exact characteristics of the e-commerce solution from commercetools. dotSource has been the official business partner of the international software provider since 2016. Since then, the partnership has been characterised by the continuous exchange and transfer of knowledge. In order to help companies set up and develop their digital strategy based on state-of-the-art technologies with in-depth know-how, six dotSource employees were the first in the world to be certified as "commercetools Certified Solution Developers" in April.

»Our certification program gives commercetools professionals the opportunity to validate their knowledge and skills by acquiring one of our certificates for different roles. To receive a commercetools certification, a candidate has to pass a QCM exam, which takes place online. We are pleased that dotSource was the first partner to use this opportunity, as it distinguishes a high level of technical excellence,« said Dirk Weckerlei, Head of Partner Management at commercetools.
