Jena, the 28th of February 2019

In order to react flexibly to market requirements as a retailer, manufacturer, or publisher in the context of digital transformation, the design of digital customer relations is required. Factors that ensure a decisive competitive advantage are the focus of this year's Handelskraft Conference. With a first-class line-up of speakers, the industry gathering will inform participants about trending topics and spark both long-term industry experts and beginners to exchange experiences through various points of interaction.

2019 Handelskraft Conference Highlights

Expect keynote speeches from industry experts Delia Wieser (Lead Innovation Architect at TrendWatching and co-author of the book “Trend-Driven Innovation”) and Frank Hanauer (Head of Digital Solutions & eCommerce Operations, Stabilo International). Conference participants will learn how to use trends to create individual innovations and competitive advantages for their company. In addition, they’ll learn how they can create added value for users if they take advantage of user-generated content and influencer marketing accordingly.

Your Own Digital DNA - Make it Yours!

The conference offers visitors the opportunity to choose from a total of nine interactive sessions and benefit from the positive and negative experiences of well-known companies. In his session, Jens Schürks (Head of Development, Netto eStores GmbH) describes the advantages of an agile project approach in the creation of an integrated platform, which challenges had to be overcome in the course of digitisation, and which tools were helpful beyond the introduction of new processes, based on his own experience. In another session, bloggers Kathleen Jaedtke and Tina Nord (Lernen wie Maschinen, in English, Learning like Machines) explain what artificial intelligence means for e-commerce professionals and what trends they should know. Workshops are where theory meets practical application. Christian Müller (founder and owner of proagile) will, after a brief keynote speech on the origin, development, and dissemination of agile methods, allow the participants of his workshop to apply these in a field test.

By selecting their sessions and workshops, companies lay the foundation for the development of their individual digital DNA and thus the basis of forward-looking and expandable business processes and customer relations.

Take Part. Connect. Level Up!

In addition to experts from business and the digital community, specialists from dotSource will also be on site. Parallel to the sessions, they’re offering the opportunity to get free advice on CRM and marketing automation, online marketing, PIM and UX design, and conversion. So conference participants not only get the space for an exchange according to their experience and expertise but also meet the people who drive digital advances. In addition to leading companies such as Würth, Swarovski and Music Store, dotSource with their know-how in the field of digital customer and business relations has also managed to win over publishers such as Cornelsen, Veritas and C.H. Beck, as well as Messe Düsseldorf.

Handelskraft 2019 will provide retailers, manufacturers, and publishers with the opportunity to leverage their own digital DNA, further develop digital thinking and gain a significant advantage through trends, best practices, and high-quality networking. The warm-up evening the night before the conference is the first opportunity for networking and participants to get to know each other. International guests are also welcome at Handelskraft 2019. For them, a simultaneous translation into English is being offered.
