The »Humankind, Space and Technology« formula for success works: dotSource welcomes its 300th employee at the new location in Dresden

6 March 2020

Press Release

The Jena digital agency dotSource has achieved its ambitious goal and not only posted another record turnover of 23 million euros at the beginning of 2020, but also welcomed its 300th employee early this year – at its new location in Dresden.

Since its foundation in 2006, the Jena digital agency dotSource has recorded significant growth every year – not only in turnover, but particularly in the number of employees. 14 years later, the three original »digital natives« have become 300 and are now distributed across four locations: Jena, Berlin, Leipzig and Dresden. With its large multinational family, dotSource has been able to implement many extensive digital projects for renowned clients over the past years and continues its committed work to discover upcoming challenges of digital transformation at an early stage. It is the goal to support clients in recognising the opportunities of the digital era as well as in implementing and using them for their own company in a sustainable and promising way.

The digital agency with headquarters in Jena relies on a good mix of well-educated specialists with extensive professional experience and the promotion of junior professionals, e.g. by training IT specialists for system integration and management assistants for office communication and e-commerce. Moreover, undergraduates (working on their bachelor’s degree) and postgraduates (working on their master’s degree) are supported and dual study programme students (combining academic studies with working at a company) are employed. Interns with a passion for everything digital are welcome as well.

»We have reached the ambitious goal we had set ourselves, namely growing to 300 employees by 2020. However, the year is still young and we have big plans for the future, so it is no longer just about increasing the number of employees, but also about retaining them. Digital professionals are rare and therefore a valuable asset for us,« Christian Grötsch, managing director at dotSource, remarks. »With this in mind, we have decided to open another office in the beautiful city of Dresden and want to inspire even more ‘digital natives’ for our company, our culture, projects and clients there,« Grötsch continues.

The numerous New Work methods which are not only promoted in theory, but actually lived at dotSource guarantee that the success curve will continue to rise in the future. It is the agency’s goal to ensure that working at dotSource is fun because a company is most successful when employees enjoy coming to work and approach projects with commitment. Furthermore, dotSource offers all employees additional benefits such as free training and further education, various exhibition and conference visits, flexible working hours or home office. The Jena digital agency also places great value on cooperation between colleagues. This takes shape in the form of company events, team events, creative working groups, participation in sports events or other formats such as the company’s own Hackathon. The innovatively designed office premises with state-of-the-art technology also significantly contribute to this well-being atmosphere as they not only offer space to work, but more importantly a place to meet and work together creatively – a basic prerequisite for further success in the fast-paced digital industry.
