Digitalisation in metal processing: MEVACO consistently expands its digital strategy with dotSource and Salesforce

As part of the expansion of its digitalisation strategy, MEVACO GmbH is once again working together with dotSource. Back in 2018, the full-service digital agency already implemented Salesforce Service Cloud for the metal processing company. With Salesforce as the strategic IT platform and dotSource as its implementation partner, MEVACO now wants to continue to drive digitalisation forward in order to be able to react independently and flexibly to changes and adjustments. For perfect system integration, dotSource also cooperates with the Salesforce company MuleSoft.

For more than ten years, MEVACO, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of perforated sheets and expanded metals, has been offering its customers the opportunity to order products online. In 2014, the shop was connected to a customer relationship management system in order to automate orders and speed up processes. Four years later, dotSource replaced this software with Salesforce Service Cloud, which, among other things, offers a modern user interface and options for automating various processes. Since 2019, MEVACO has been part of RMIG, the world’s largest manufacturer of perforated sheet products.

Pioneering Role in the Automation and Digitalisation of Processes

For the next step, the implementation of a new e-commerce platform, MEVACO once again opted for a solution from Salesforce and for dotSource as its implementation partner. As compared to conventional e-commerce systems, Salesforce B2B Commerce Lightning Experience requires significantly less coding effort, enabling MEVACO to make changes to the system on its own through configurations rather than programming.

In this context, MEVACO aims to expand and automate its marketing processes. In the future, the new Salesforce Marketing Cloud is to enable a targeted and personalised customer approach through rule-based actions. On this basis, customer activities are to be tracked and evaluated in order to develop new marketing measures to strengthen customer loyalty and increase the conversion rate.

MuleSoft Expands Well-Coordinated Trio to Form Successful Quartet

By opting for further Salesforce solutions and dotSource as its implementation partner, MEVACO relies on a well-coordinated trio of partners who know what is wanted and needed and what is expected in terms of technology and service. However, dotSource not only digitalises MEVACO’s e-commerce landscape, marketing and sales, but also optimises the company’s internal performance. In order to improve the connectivity of all of MEVACO’s systems, increase agility and accelerate IT as well as business success, dotSource brought the Salesforce company MuleSoft on board as a technology partner. MuleSoft provides an integration platform to connect SaaS and enterprise applications – in the cloud, locally or hybrid – and fits perfectly into MEVACO’s existing Salesforce software landscape.

With the Salesforce solutions, the metal processing company takes another big step towards implementing its digitalisation strategy. From now on, MEVACO can work on an innovative platform, quickly adapt change processes and respond specifically to customer needs. This is necessary because such standards have also become a must in metal processing. MEVACO has recognised this and, with the help of recent measures and strong partners, continues to strengthen its role as a pioneer. This way, MEVACO also remains one of the leading companies in its industry in terms of digitalisation.
