Jena/Lohne – Pöppelmann invests in the further development of its digital strategy. The family business from Lohne (Lower Saxony) commissioned the full-service agency dotSource to analyse its existing software and implement a new content management system (CMS) from the Swiss vendor Magnolia.
Following the successful implementation of a product information management (PIM) system in 2021, the plastics manufacturer Pöppelmann once again opted for the digital experts from dotSource to further optimise its system landscape. A new CMS would make working on the website easier for the employees. After a comprehensive analysis, the headless solution from Magnolia came out on top, as its features and cloud-based set-up were an optimal fit for Pöppelmann's existing system landscape and high requirements.

In contrast to the previous solution, the new CMS automatically retrieves all data from the PIM system, thereby harnessing its full potential. Processes have thus become more efficient, enabling better allocation of resources. Via additional interfaces developed by dotSource, the PIM system and the CMS are effectively connected to each other.
Pöppelmann benefits from the cloud-based set-up: the scalability of Magnolia's CMS is an added value that provides a secure basis for the company's future growth. Moreover, this adaptability reduces the load time of the website, which has a significant impact on both user experience and, of course, the SEO ranking.
Magnolia's CMS is also perfectly suited for the integration with e-commerce solutions. This makes it a valuable component for upcoming projects that are already planned with dotSource, such as ensuring website accessibility and connecting Pöppelmann's job portal, which is based on SAP SuccessFactors, to the CMS.
