Jena, Germany, 26.1.2018
»There are no obstacles - only challenges!« Industry representatives will talk about the digital reality in 2018 and report on the successes as well as the challenges of their everyday business. Paul Gössinger, Head of eBusiness at BayWa AG, and Carl Heinze, Project Manager at CH Beck Verlag, who will be reporting on his experience in redesigning the publishing platform using modular architecture and microservices in his session »Demolishing the Monolith«, will be bringing real life experience. As the head of department for strategy and corporate development, Dr. Ing. Martin Kassubek knows that a project is more than just buzzword bingo. In his keynote »Make business not buzzwords — Change is important, but doesn’t matter to customers«, he shows how to manage CRM projects successfully and presents his five learnings from the conceptual design of digital sales at NürnbergMesse. The possibilities for the implementation of product data marketing and content commerce are discussed in two tailored roundtables. Markus Kühner, Head of Product Marketing at Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG. will be sitting at the table.
David Mattin, Global Head of Trends and Insights at TrendWatching.com, Vincent Kittmann, Head of Podcast at OMR, and Adrian Hotz, all longtime industry insiders, will also be at the table. In their presentations, they’ll explore how Bitcoin and Blockchain actually work, which trends are driving B2B online marketing, and why digital innovators should once again focus more on the human factor.
Johannes Kretzschmar from Beetlebum will conclude the digital conference with his humorous yet thought-provoking keynote »How computer technology taught me how to solve problems without knowing anything«. »Many connect computer science with computers, cell phones, or technology, but I think it's more about problems. There was no problem with an IoT bottle opener or an IoT litter box and suddenly there’s a use case for selling things. But I think there are fundamental problems. How can I dress properly? Or what impact does automation have on the world of work? Here’s where you can respond with very basic computer science very interesting mind games,« said Kretzschmar.
International guests are also welcome at Handelskraft 2018. This year we’re offering live translation in English.
The warm-up evening on the eve of the conference is the first chance for other guests and speakers to mingle and network. Further highlights will be offered to guests within the supporting program, including an exclusive guided tour of BMW Welt, a musicalfinale in the evening, and (to match the location) lots of fun on four wheels. Further information on the annual conference from the digital agency dotSource and the supporting program can be found here.
