What Is Craft CMS?
Craft CMS is a content management system (CMS) that was developed with the aim of providing a better author experience. Pixel & Tonic began working on Craft CMS in 2011.
When developing the software solution, particular emphasis was placed on giving users as much design freedom as possible so that websites can be tailored to specific user experiences. To achieve this, real-time content editing, a customisable database structure and an intuitive user interface were implemented.
Two years later, in 2013, Craft CMS 1.0 was released. Since then, the CMS has been continuously enhanced and new features have been added to the tool to meet the changing web development requirements.
Moreover, Craft CMS can be used flexibly – either as a traditional or headless CMS.
