Project Audit Highlights Optimisation Potential
The standard component manufacturer approached dotSource with the request to review its e-commerce project that had been in progress for a long time. The project audit shed light on technical aspects such as performance and usability as well as topics related to the agile transformation to date. Based on workshops with all essential stakeholders, dotSource was able to put forth concrete recommendations for action to optimise the project at hand.
Implementation of SAP Commerce Shop under Time Constraint
Delighted by the results of the audit, norelem decided to entrust dotSource with the further implementation. Following the project handover, the project team worked to an ambitious timeline. The task was to launch a high-performance and user-friendly SAP Commerce shop for norelem's main market Germany within a few months. Owing to dotSource's expertise, the strengths of the e-commerce system can now be fully utilised, which is already reflected in the sales figures of the new online shop.
Modern B2B User Experience
To take the user experience of the demanding B2B target group to the next level, the product range structure of the online shop was harmonised with that of the popular print catalogue THE BIG GREEN BOOK. Additionally, an adequate redesign of the online shop's header navigation followed to provide a convenient experience for both desktop and mobile users. Moreover, the presentation of categories and product recommendations when using the search function as well as the structure of the complex product portfolio were improved by the dotSource UXD team.
