About BADER
On around 1000 catalogue pages as well as in several online shops, BRUNO BADER GmbH offers its customers the latest fashion trends and popular classics for women and men, but also exclusive offers ranging from home textiles, furniture, household goods, gifts, technology products and watches to jewellery.
For more than 23 years now, the mail order company has also provided a digital version of its catalogue. Overall, the company runs six online shops in the DACH area (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and another BADER shop in the Netherlands.

Successful in E-Commerce with Data-Driven Tools
Initial Situation & Objectives
BADER has been a dotSource client since 2015 and, among other things, commissioned the digital agency with the long-term management of its online shops. In addition, other services such as UX design, A/B testing and digital marketing were also provided.
In the context of the long-standing cooperation, BADER approached dotSource at the beginning of 2020 with the request to display product recommendations in its online shops. This was to improve the user experience.
Moreover, a consent management platform (CMP) was to be connected in order to comply with the current General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Project Scope & Implementation
After an initial consultation with dotSource experts, BADER opted for Prudsys’ recommendation engine. As part of a proof of concept (POC), it was connected to one of BADER’s online shops. After the successful completion of the test phase, BADER decided to implement the recommendation engine in all its other online shops as well.
In addition, dotSource implemented the Usercentrics CMP in just four weeks to allow customers to configure their tracking preferences in compliance with the GDPR.
