Founded in 1999, Lampenwelt has evolved into one of the leading retailers and manufacturers of lighting of all types, various smart home systems as well as light bulbs. Headquartered in Schlitz (Hesse) and with more than 600 employees at six locations, it operates as an e-commerce company in numerous European countries. Optimally Organised Data
For a company like Lampenwelt, onboarding more than 1,000 new products every month is not uncommon. Hence, the goal was to simplify the handling of large amounts of product data in the future. With the PIM tool from Stibo Systems, this growth can now be accommodated effectively. Through additional features of the system, several terabytes of digital assets, such as image and video files, can easily be managed.
Excellent International Product Presentation
As an internationally operating company, Lampenwelt presents its product range in a variety of different languages. To save time and human resources, dotSource integrated several translation services for Lampenwelt. The automated transfer of new product data to these services makes it easier for the company to tap into new foreign-language markets, even with its rapidly growing product range.
AI for Automatically Creating Product Texts
Lampenwelt recognised the potential of process automation using artificial intelligence (AI) for its constantly growing portfolio. That is why dotSource integrated OpenAI's generative AI technology (GPT-4) into the PIM system. Product texts can now be generated quickly and efficiently based on the enriched product information. Through prompt engineering, dotSource also helped systematically optimise the AI output.
